Ullmark is the better target

Really hope caps can add Kadri and another excellent young D. Also I do believe Samsonov and Vanecek will get another chance. They "could" be a great duo, just can't seem to figure it out thus far. All said and done I think caps will be a top 5 team and make a cup run again.

I totally agree with everything you said. The main issue tho is consistent goaltending and it’s time to get a true starter. Ullmark would be a great target and is cheaper than Gibson, I also feel we should create a kid line and get them going.

I think Ullmark is a sneaky-good target for the Caps. Zadina would be as well, if he could be the next Brett Connolly that would be a huge add. From EDM I would rather target puljujarvi and his elite defensive play -- would be a great fit with ovi and kuzy

I think Miller copp Husso Forsberg all make more sense

Husso is to good to be true and had a bad playoffs, Copp would be stupid to invest in, Miller to expensive at the cost of rentals are rn. Forsberg im all for in for but Aav is too much

Based on what GMBM said in his post-elimination presser, I would be shocked if both VV and Samsonov were back as the goaltending tandem. My expectation is one will be dealt (probably Samsonov because he'll have the most trade value as a former first round pick) and one will be retained to be the understudy for a veteran starter that'll be brought in via trade or free agency. I actually think a trade is more likely for a veteran goaltender because the market is so shallow for starting goalies that the prices will be sky high.

Lets remember sammy was a first rounder. I hope he comes in this year at his peak because he's going to get his third chance to be a great goalie. If he can figure it out this year watch out for the eagles.

Don't know how available Ullmark is (at least this season) with a NMC. Next off-season he goes to a NTC and Swayman will need a new deal, so I imagine that's when Boston would be looking to trade Ullmark.

I don't think Yzerman is interested in trading Zadina unless the return is too good to decline.

It'd cost you at least a couple of good prospects like Lapierre and Rybinsky and maybe a pick too.

Detroit is not trading Zadina unless it's part of a package that lands us a stud center.

What kind of package if lappiere is involved

I like the idea of Ullmark for Washington and trading one of Samsonov or vanecek for him would work good for both teams I think.
For zadina it wouldn't be anything less than Lapierre since it wouldn't make sense for anything else but for him.

Lapierre + Rybinsky + 2nd would be an immediate yes from me.

That's the point, we'd want Laperriere+, you guys would want Zadina+. It's a non-starter.

Compared to the guys you listed..Kadri is gonna get a bigger contract on term for sure which would be silly to give, Ullmark hasn't proven he can be a true starting goalie on a good team and also had a bad playoffs plus he would cost assets to acquire and is going to carry a higher AAV than somebody like Husso will, Zadina isn't a bust but he's a reclamation project and very risky to bank on ever hitting his potential.
