On the RFA's what you've done with Steel and Lundestrom is confusing. Lundestrom cemented himself last season as the 3rd line center and might even be a core piece now. On the other hand Steel bounced around the line up and was a healthy scratch a bunch of the season. If anything you have the contracts backwards. But more likely you have the Lundestrom one about right and are over paying Steel in both dollars and term.

Stolarz and his super cheap contract doesn't make sense to ARI, another team with loads of cap space. His value is maximized trading him to a cap strapped team like EDM or TOR. Assuming you want to trade him that is (I don't). But you did bring in Mrazek so Stolarz out makes sense.

Buying out Henrique isn't on the table. For one, he's a big part of the veteran leadership on this team and a very valuable player in that role. And you are 5 million or so below the cap floor. The Ducks need Henrique's full cap hit.

The hawks trade is so second choice assets. It needs to be ANA’s first, not Bostons. Change Groulx to Perreault. COL’s second is basically a third. Other teams will be knocking. You gotta give to get.

I don't necessarily disagree with your take but Chicago isn't getting both Tracey and Perreault.

4 first round picks is second choice assets? they're not getting Terry, Zegras, Drysdale

Terrible value for Comtois, Gibson and Stolarz, especially since we're under no pressing urgency to trade any of them. Inadequate offer for DeBrincat. And Anaheim, a rebuilding team with zillions of dollars in cap space but no hope of getting a sniff at the playoffs this season, is going to spend a valuable second-round pick on a two-month rental forward with unnecessary retention whom we don't need in the first place?!?

That is fine. I should have indicated the rest of the trade would be adjusted as well. It's just those two assets I think need to be included.

Just because you are a former 1st rounder does not mean you still carry 1st round value (Tracey). Not a knock on him, he's good but he is not equivalent in value to a 1st round pick anymore. Try to trade him on his own, you will not be getting a first rounder in return. I also want to use the Fiala trade as an example. Fiala just received Faber, who I would take over both Tracey and Groulx. He netted the the 19th overall, a little before what you are offering with Boston's 22nd pick. I think we can both agree Debrincat is worth more than Fiala. So you get worse prospects and a later pick than Fiala. You add in ANA's 2023 which is really nice but for the fact it's top 10 protected hurts the value. CHI can trade debrincat and get a guaranteed top 10 pick this draft and a prospect better than the two you have offered. I would rather trade for a guaranteed top 10 pick than middle of the 1st round picks. COL's 2nd is basically a third like I already said. If you have to include that much quantity for one player back, you are giving second choice assets.

I've also had no mention of Terry, Zegras or Drysdale.
