lol how

only question mark is Athanasiou but potentially revitalize-able former 30 goal scorer. if he doesn't work out you demote him and move brown or trocheck or nylander there

to spread the wealth. Same idea as when Kessel was on the 3rd line for Pittsburgh. Matthews can drive that line by himself so you spread it out to make coverage more difficult

I feel like the Oilers are in a similar place as the Leafs, at least in Toronto he is in his home town. I don't see him waiving unless it's a team who has a better chance at winning than Toronto. Which to Toroto's credit is not that many teams.

That gets you either Connor Brown or Artem Zub, not both.

Try again.

Oilers may need a replacement for the retiring Duncan Keith, all right, but I doubt that they want a replacement for his cap hit, too -- in fact, a little increase on it.

a 2nd for Dylan Strome is too much if Chi doesn't plan to qualify him, unless I guess they allow Leafs to negotiate an extension prior but even then I think a 3rd would be enough.

I'd assume they'll qualify him no?

There are reports that they might not qualify him and Kubalik, their qualifying offers are 3.7m and 4m if I recall correctly
