They would lose a lot of flexibility and would lead to a cap crunch beyond this season. What happens if Chytil, Laffy, and Miller all do amazing. They have 14m next year but they could take a good chunk of it potentially. Also, no cap for TDL additions this year. Probably need at least 1.75M or so retained on him.

They either retain salary or take Nemeth. Rangers can also move Goodrow next offseason and Chytil Miller and Laf would be resigned.

I think Tampa would say yes, they can flip Nemeth if anything or use him as a bottom pairing guy with someone like Rutta or Bogo
