They won't be getting a good/top defensive prospects for him. Don't know all of those guys but pretty sure Lambos and Wallinder wouldn't be given up for him. A cap team/former cap team like Detroit would probably want Tampa to pay as well.

I expect it to be McDonagh and a pick for a B prospect/unwanted one or depth, based off the Tyler Johnson trade. I don't think Tampa gets away without retaining cap though or giving up two firsts (which they are running low on). Maybe he can be packaged with Killorn, though and take back a bad but lesser contract if it's with a team looking to compete (which is probably the only type of team he waives for)

The best and worst trade partner is FLR maybe.

I can see Detroit and Buffalo (if they want to play him with Power) as fits. Only thing is will McDonagh want to go to a team that is just starting to move towards contention or a year out, that is in the stacked Atlantic division? Someone suggested LA since similar weather and they also need help on LD but they got big contracts already and more to come.

I think teams like LA, Detroit, and NYI will be at the top of the list of going for McDonagh. LA if they can’t land either of Chychrun or Provorov. Detroit needs a veteran LD, why not go after one with 2 cup rings on his fingers. And NYI just need LD in general.

Funny thinking teams are going to take on Mac contract and give up something. You understand that few teams can take in that cap hit fully and nobody is going to do them a favor?

He has a full ntc. Why is he waiving for anywhere but COL or MIN? Thankfully we can't afford his downhill term ditto MIN, BOS has a million d, NSH have left d, DET are still a few years away, not CAN... They could ask him all they want, it won't be easy

FLR is close by, he might waive for them, but TB can't take Bob and move him.

Any McDonagh post is rather silly cause so much cap is going to the other team (in this case Rangers). Really you gotta think any team that McDonagh might like being traded to, they don't have the cap.

It's funny that you said that. Lalonde is 49, and I just saw that they hired him.

I came up with a conspiracy where JBB and Stevey Y have worked out a McDonagh contingent on McDonagh waiving for them.

Permission to talk to Lalonde+McDonagh at 5m + Killorn + 2022 1st (TB) or 2024 2nd+3rd for Two players on contract from Detroit.

Tampa bay fans need to stop being like leafs fans or Canucks, or now jets fans. Learn the cap. We don't have room or cap for Ryan..we aren't taking on his long term contracts. Geezer ! Minnesota declines!

Well, Minnesota, Detroit and Nashville definitely hard pass on these. And the Rags definitely can't afford it.

Not trading 8OA, if and I if they trade for Mac, then using that pick for a center or RHD.
