Tampa is trying to get out of cap hell. Probably won't retain anything

I honestly don’t mind this. I may be in the minority though.

Tampa isn't retaining on Ryan McDonagh, They will trade him to a team that can afford to take on his full cap hit.

Tampa would think about it, but they'd want Barbashev, Mikkola, 1st swap and a 3rd this year I'd guess. Even then, retaining 1.75 for 4 years is a tough sell for Tampa, not because of the cap this off season, but mainly next Summer. If Tampa could crunch the numbers and make it work, I guess there would be a slim chance, but in the end, they'd likely look to take a little less and move his whole cap hit.
