Cooley and Boqvist is a pretty solid return imo

Likely true though he fits a need. It doesn't have to be NYR, like I said, but the point is they should have sold him at the deadline for futures instead of extending him long-term.

You think? Hoglander doesn't seem well liked by coaches in VAN.

Yeah there's no need for Simek when the left side of the defense is already fine and Dahlen fell off hard after the first half of the season. Vancouver isn't giving up on Hoglander this fast

Yeah I feel the same way about Mika before last season. Would rather just roll with our young guys with Panarin sprinkled on top than having like 4-5 guys signed well into their 30's at prices that make signing our young players to long term extensions difficult.

Give me a source that says that. A coach being harsh on a younger player shouldn’t be surprising. It’s called growing pains

I don't have a source, just my observation. Kid has talent but doesn't seem to be getting the opportunities. If I'm not mistaken, he was completely taken off of either PP units in favor of borderline NHL players at many points of the season. Just doesn't seem like an untouchable piece to me.

Well there you go. Your statement is kinda poorly backed up. Our powerplay 1 consisted of: Horvat, Miller, Boeser, Pettersson, Hughes
Our powerplay 2 is irrelevant because powerplay 1 would be on the ice for 1:40-the whole powerplay meaning that nobody outside those five people I listed really got any time at all

It's really not that serious. I don't think it's bold to say Hoglander is kinda in the doghouse in VAN.
