    The main reason to trade Eller isn’t because he’s bad, or that his cap hit is too high, but to make room for McNugget and maybe even Protas or Lappy to get some actual ice time next season. Ellen’s offensive game may have taken a step back but he’s still a good two way forward and a good 3C.

    Besides, you don’t need to trade Eller with this lineup. You could keep him at 3C, have McNugget go back to the wing (but still increase his ice time a bunch), bump Snives down to the fourth line and then Leason’s scratched.

    It's definitely better than last year. Trocheck would not be my choice at 2c though, he declined a lot last year.
