Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If they want to move at TDL to chase a ring, both Toews and Kane are positioned to be able to be retained for futures and we can bring up Reichel whilst still being bad enough to compete for that top 3 pick in the 2023 draft.

I guess I will be the first one to tell you that you won't be getting Texier for Murphy alone, that 2nd coming your way is just a fairy tale.

They got too many forwards and a need for a RD. ticks boxes for both sides, particularly when they have 2 lottery picks in this draft. They can afford to move that pick and an odd man out in the forward pack for a pressing need.

The 2nd might be a little strong, but I also don’t hate it because Murphy is exactly the player Columbus needs and he is signed to a decent contract and has term.

If only the Jets GM was agressive enough and made the Strome trade... I'll keep dreaming

Philly declines. Way too rich of a deal. Creates another hole for Philly they can’t fill with York and 2 firsts is just an overpay when one is top 5 and the other will probably be as good or better than Deb anyway because Philly sucks

I wouldn't mind picking up Murphy but that price is a little steep.

The alternatives that I could consider are Brink + the 1sts and prospect (O'Brien) with a potential cap dump. It does depend how much Philly value Cat and if he is someone they really want, particularly if Johnny signs with the flames.

For me they are both about the same in value, but one of them we can fill the void with a prospect, the other we can’t

Yeah thats true. Your a little light on the LD pool atm. Thats the 1 position we have an abundance but don't really have a guy who could be a top liner, thats why I was targeting York in this scenario as Proverov is still there and perhaps Tort can keep him around.
