I think you over value Anderson, most Habs fans would gladly take the higher 1st (and some would argue lower 1st) alone for Anderson and CGY 1st.

Coming off a horrendous yr and with 5.5mil for 5 yrs I dont think Anderson gets that package.

Anderson and 25th oa for 2 pick in the top 12 is not gonna happen. Columbus turns that down easy.

Could maybe get the 6 oa, if we add the 33 oa w the 26 and Anderson, but even then its gonna be hella costly. think Islanders made the offer of 13 oa and beauvillier for Anderson.

You made an error in your proposal. You're sending the wrong 1st round pick.

The only reason we let Anderson go at all was because we did not want to sign him to that contract. That hasn't changed. Therefore the only circumstance in which we take him back is if y'all retain on the contract so it's closer to what we were willing to pay him originally.

In any case, neither of those picks is available unless we're getting back, as Kekalainen put it, someone who'll be "contributing to the team for the next 10 years". This doesn't even come within the same stratosphere of that requirement. A proper counterproposal would involve us offering our 2nd rounder for Suzuki or something similarly egregious.

You cannot get the 6OA in any deal containing Josh Anderson. (unless you are doing something preposterously stupid)

If Jarmo wanted Anderson on a contract that long he would have signed him to it.

Value wise, the 6 and the 12 are worth more than the first overall pick from most charts I have seen. I imagine the 6 and 12 would pull a Suzuki/Caufield + whatever the hell Jarmo wants if we're looking at a slightly less egregious trade to give Montreal the ability to pick 1st, 6th, and 12th.

Can’t see Anderson wanting to go back to Columbus. Not to mention the fact that you’re way overvaluing him. Would you really trade 1st OA for Anderson?

Palpable irony that we're having the "Anderson's value far exceeds his statline" conversation again, with the team that traded him last time coming off a one-goal season.

I remember everyone last time speculating an Anderson/Domi swap, saying that CBJ would have to add. MTL ended up adding a third. Now he's gonna fetch (if traded) a first round pick, at least.

I'd take him back on the Jackets, but not in a deal where we're giving up draft picks. Would do a forward swap, though. Something like Anderson for Texier would work.

I'd rather have Texier. Anderson's contract is too risky.
