We are not selling a G at his lowest point bc of an injury that started last off seaosn only to see him healed and playing like we have seen him play. No guarentees he gets back there but to trade him for pcs we already have is dumb. Its not a Leafs anti trade thing, you just want something or nothing in a lot of your trades (Jeremy Bracco, do I need to say more?)

It's been widely reported that Jersey wants to move on from Blackwood and at 2.8 for below average backup play, his value is absolutely at its lowest. Hence why jersey seemingly wants Campbell.

So to wrap it up, Blackwood has little to no value. Sandin has immense value. Getting Jack Campbell's rights so you can get him signed for cheaper may be a good plan for you guys. This above trade is a grandslam win for Jersey. You could easily flip Sandin and make a major haul there as well. All for a guy who's risk is super high. He's had more games below average than above.

Campbells rights are a 4-5th round pick and no more, working with him before does not guarantee a cheaper contract, just Jersey would be first to talk with him. Sandin is a good player, but getting him to move him is silly. We want to help our team, not yours

If you don't think Sandin helps you, you are truly just a Leaf hater. Look at the list of defenceman who have won the top Defenceman at the world Juniors. Out of the past 15, only 2 aren't currently in the NHL. One of them is Niemela of the Leafs who won it last. The list is almost all elite. Not saying Sandin is going to win a Norris but it's clear he's a top level talent and turning down him for Blackwood is insane. The only way anyone wouldn't want it is if they hate the Leafs more than they like their own team.
