Middle Martinez Murray

Description
Wouldn't hate giving Rodrigues a big pay day for a year to at least fill in and produce if Zadina and Berggren cant hang on the second line.

Would end up losing one of these D men in the next couple years to one of their prospect, hopefully.

Get that Petry **** outta here.

Probably a little heavy on the Middleton deal :) $$$

not a big fan of bringing in Murray but honestly I wouldn't hate it, DET has the cap and if its a situation where they can get picks I dont see why DET wouldn't take it. especially cuz I traded them all.... Cossa may be rolling the AHL next year. Two years there may be the best thing for him.

    Nope.

Guerin wants to keep him, and the biggest roadblock to doing just that got moved.

Nope. Minnesota isn't trading 1st pairing, cheap dman in Middleton. He's not available. Don't know how you have in title it's overpay for him when Minnesota gave up Kaapo kahkonen for him and he was 1st pairing dman for Minnesota and really cheap who Minnesota will resign

Its just a big contract for a recently established solid NHL D man. He aint flashy so not sure how many people think he would be worth a $4M deal for 6 years. Like I signed so I think it would be worth it. I can understand if people would be a little skeptical of the deal.

Ottawa is not spending assets to dump cap when we are not up against the cap.

    Try again.

You are right they really have no reason to dump someone unless they really really want gustavson and forsberg combo for some unknown reason. I'd maybe pay a fourth for him on second thought. If OTT signs giroux and trades for a D man it would tighten up the cap a bit.

Depending on the number that Norris, Joseph, and Forementon contracts come in at then if they do make a move for another top 6 forward and top 4 D, while they would technically have cap space to keep Murray for next season, he really does need to be moved before next summer when you have to do Stuzlte's contract which I would say will likely be the highest AAV on the team.

So with that in mind, I would move him now if possible and I would think it does take a 2nd to do so. Using Tampa's 2nd which is laer in the round would be expendale in that senario.

Forsberg and Gus would be a great duo for the Sens to run all next season for a couple of reasons.
    1. Forsberg got Vezneia votes this season and he could become a long-term true NHL starter which they need to give him the games to figure out.
    2. Gus has not reached his ceiling just yet, I think he ends up being a great backup or 2B, but not sure if he is a true starter, however, if he gets around 30 games this season I think that can be answered some.
    3. Sens also still have Sogard the 6'8 21 year old Danish goalie who is a really high-level prospect (WHL goalie of the year, lead European team to championship) and needs to get ALL the starts in the AHL this season.
