LA just picked up Fiala (a smallish forward) from MIN so I dont think they would Offer this trade. If they wanted another smallish winger they could get Konecny from Philly who would be less expensive and the trade package would be close to this. Philly would ask for Turcotte, Clarke and another player or 1st round pick/2nd round pick depending on who's in the deal. I am not comparing TK vs the Cat just in terms of size and CAP.

I somewhat agree but I think LA needs to upgrade their scoring. Fiala is a good player but he isn't that 40 goal scorer that I think they need to go to the next level. I think 2 1st rounder isn't to much to ask for Debrincat. Villardi is a capable NHLer and Clarke is a good prospect.

Somehow I don't see this one going down... just an inkling. Much as any team wants to give up four years of round ones for a bolstered top 6 player.

Apparently some people are hung up on where players were drafted. I guess you can't trade a Brayden Point since he's a 3rd rounder for say Nolan Patrick since Patrick was take 2nd overall.....lol

A bolster top 6 forward? He just scored 41 goals.

Bolstered by Kane.

Brian Gionta once scored 48 goals in a season, and this was when offense in the NHL was low where this year has been a renaissance year. He was bolstered by Elias. Very similar to Debrincat.

Vilardi's lost value, I give you that. Clarke hasn't. Yet, the trade treats him like he's been a disappointment. Or it treats Debrincat like he's better than Eichel. You pick.

Clarke hasn't depreciated and Eichel is better but it isn't a huge gap in my opinion. I think the Kings would offer this trade because one thing holding their team back last year was scoring.
