Welcome to CapFriendly!
As a newcomer, you're unaware of the thousands of discussions that have occurred over the Muzzin-to-Los-Angeles idea. Here are the basic points:
(1) No one can ever properly explain why Muzzin would waive his absolute NTC to leave home and play for a team with a lesser chance to win the Stanley Cup one more time before retirement.
(2) Muzzin's cap hit is a particularly bad inroad into Los Angeles' explicitly-expressed overall off-season strategy, which is to acquire a young #1LD with term; Muzzin is none of the three.
(3) At this point, Muzzin's on-ice value (without respect to Cap hit or retention), considering his last regular season and injury history, probably isn't a second-round pick when adjusted for risk.
(4) Los Angeles can probably re-sign Alex Edler, or acquire a similarly-talented free agent, who will be cheaper than Muzzin both in cap hit and cost to acquire (specifically, none) and provide the same level of performance.
Keep trying and don't be discouraged. The greater the venom expressed in contrary opinions, the less likely that the responder is to be right.
