Next offseason is going to be very interesting in TB. Cerelli, Serg, Cernak and Foote all due for new contracts.

Maybe it isn't a good idea to sign Palat?

Palat isn;t signing that cheap If thats all Killorn gets JBB is committing GM malpractice

Killorn will get a better return than that if moved. Palat may give the team a hometown discount with extra term, but likely not one that steep. The oy real way to keep both him and Rutta is to move McD now. They can move McD, keep both Pally and Rutta, plus use the small amount left over for an elc/min contract F or D. They would keep Killorn for one more year, then he's also gone. They could trade Killorn and McD now, lock up Palat and Rutta, plus have enough to fill in the holes at 3LD and LW via the trades/ufa. They would likely target 1 year rentals or cost efficient players, as this would give them the most cap flexibility next offseason and thus a good chance of keeping all the rfas then.

I wonder if they extend cirell, serg and Cernak this off-season so next year then they know what they have to work with ?
