I think you have to temper those returns. Tampa is not going to have much leverage because everyone knows they have to free up space similar to what Vegas dealt with. I'm not saying you get nothing, but I think it's more than likely you don't get much more than 3rd for either player. Obviously they're worth more than that, but again, leverage.

For Killorn, drop the second, make it a 3 team trade and the Canes send a 4th or something to retain half. That is a deal the Canes will accept, but that is too much to give up for Killorn when Tampa has 0 leverage.

JBB letting Palat walk would be a massive mistake. After his playoff performance this year, big mistake to let him walk, not to mention that Point and Kucherov would be pissed.

Currently you need to clear just over $5M to be compliant. One of them has to go. Killorn makes the most sense IMO and considering no leverage if they can get a 3rd you made out pretty well.
