What’s even crazier is the fact you’re paying Matthew Tkachuk 16 million a year. An NFL contract LOL

The fact you're giving Tkachuk more than Marner then trading him to make room? Tells me you don't know who Mitch Marner is

Nope only 11.5. How offersheets work is that if the contract length is over 5 years, its divided by 5 no matter what. So 11.5×7/5 is 16.1 so thats how its calculated

No, it's 11.5 AAV. 16 million is for offer sheet reasons.

Elite regular season winger. Who chokes every playoffs. I've got him pretty well. This would be for an upgrade on wing to a similar point producer who brings physicality.

Plus, get a legitimate potential star at 2 overall.

Late firsts are almost meaningless. Something like a 20% chance of ever playing 100 games.

In fact most people seem to think the Rangers won't qualify georgiev at all so leafs could just sign him.

I'd love a player and pick for Holl too. Doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Tkachuk did what in the playoffs exactly? Marner was quite good this years playoffs, and is notable the leafs leader in playoff points since 2016/17. You lose practically every trade you make with Marner going out.

1 primary point (on PP) in the last 5 games. Had an amazing first 2 games. His stick was where plays went to die after that 2 games. Then 2 years before brutal too.

Tkachuk had 10 points in 12 games (12 games is 5 more than marner has ever had in a season). Despite a 93 PDO. Was spectacular. Playing with lesser linemates than Marner.
