The Blues dont have the cap space for Ryan..... We would need to shed Scandella and likely Barbie too.

Value wise it’s fine but the blues have 9 million cap space and need a backup goalie, sign Perron, and and some depth pieces. We just don’t have the cap

I honestly think Scotty is the last D man the blues would trade rn. Young, cheap and way too much upside to not hold out and see what you've got. I could see them moving Krug out and making him the PP guy and getting a bigger, well rounded, solid defender.

McDonagh, while still good, arguahly has negative value with that contract. Tampa has to pay to get rid of it to a team or at the very least eat a bunch of cap in order for a team like the Blues to take him.

Read latest 32 Thoughts about Blues. Even Elliotte mentions “Do they fell they can have both Torey Krug and Scott Perrunovich on the blue line”. If I had to bet, one is not in the team next year and it would be difficult to move Krug with his no trade…

I would be BEYOND PISSED if we trade our only good defensive prospect for a 33 year old with $6.75M cap hit and 2 good year left. And WE ARE adding a 3rd on top of it. Just hold out for Perunovich. He’ll sign a cheap 2 year deal and then gauge where he is at. I would rather sign him those two years and then trade Krug to DET when Perunovich gets an extension.

I never said they would trade him for McDonagh. I’ve just been saying for a long time that I don’t see Perrunovich and Krug playing in the same line up. (That sentiment appears to be shared from this article too and Elliott didn’t get that from nowhere…). If Perrunovich didn’t get hurt so much, think he would have been traded already.
