Description
Hey hockey fans here's another draft day special for you I did a couple trades that I thought were reasonable but I also did one that was kind of a blockbuster. I've been hearing lots of speculation that Keith is going to be traded to someone like the Arizona coyotes who is like a bottom feeder team for a draft pick so that they can buy him out and then they can use that dead cab to get to the Floor but the Oilers would be able to re-sign him add the remaining amount of his contract he is on right now. Which is 1.5 million. The only one who would be negatively affected by it would be the Chicago Blackhawks as they would receive a 7.9 million recapture penalty as it's still a buy out the end of the day. No I also thought when I was doing this Oilers defence needs something a big something, and last trade deadline there was so much speculation around Jakob Chycrun. And with rumours I've been hearing with Columbus in Arizona possibly swapping picks three and six I truly believe this would be something they would look at what the boilers because of an asset the Oilers have which is none other than Carter savoie, Matthew Savoy I've heard it's been targeted by the Arizona coyotes and if they were able to trade down and get him at six roughly where he supposed to go (roughly) I think it would be a good decision for Arizona to make this trade because they're going to make a trade to ship the top 4 D Man somewhere, and why not the Oilers if they have the assets willing to give up. You get it first and three quality prospects (Lavoie, Savoie, Samorukov) which amounts to a value of 2 Firsts, and 2 Seconds in my opinion. The Oilers also pay a third round pick to Buy out Keith, and a second round pick to take the LTIR Oscar Klefbom contract. remember that even though Arizona has to pay the remaining balance of Óscar Klefbom's contract, a 2023 second round pick is estimated to be a late first round pick in 2022. 2023 is a deeper draft and that is what Arizona is taking into consideration. The New Jersey trade I just love because I think it is a really good fit for the oilers and the Devil's. The devils have expressed interest in both Cassian and Puljujarvi, with that being said the Oilers value Puljujarvi drastically, even though they would like to trade him. Oilers would like to get probably a second and third back in return but for Nathan bastion and for taking Cassian's contract, The Oilers would put Puljujarvi in the steel for only a third and a fourth. Which was the Oilers anyway. But a catch 22 devils have to consider is that probably every team has expressed interest in Puljujarvi to some degree and if there becomes a bidding war they would probably lose out and Puljujarvi would probably go for much more than a third and a second, some disagreed with Puljujarvi not caring where he goes, and the affordability of his qualifying offer a lot of contenders would pay highly for him, especially if he shapes out to be a Top 6 Like he was this year. I saw the devils have to pay their 2023 3rd round pick instead of they're 2022. And if Devils fans don't like it, then the Oilers are in no rush to trade Puljujarvi as they own his rights. Fans need to realize that Puljujarvi has not asked for a trade, it's simply the Oilers looking to see what they can get. Oilers are more than willing and prepared to have him suit up for game one of the regular season for them. So like I said if the Oilers don't find extreme value in a trade with a team for Puljujarvi there are no rush to trade him and they can develop them themselves. St. Louis was extremely active calling the Oilers last trade deadline inquiring about Warren Foegele, and with Craig McTavish now being an assistant coach, I do remember him really praising Foegele for great play last season. Even though his point production is not fantastic, he does all the little things right, and he really unites the young players as a leader in the locker room. Foegele is replaceable For the Oilers, And if St. Louis is still interested then I would seriously trade him for the rights to villie husso. before the trade deadline, this way you have a longer time to work out a contract extension, and you might even be able to get the rights to talk to his agent from St. Louis before you make the trade. This way it's a pretty smooth transaction and a great way to get your next starting goalie. Detroit trade was just kind of a thought I had for younger teams I truly believe Derek Ryan proved himself as a fourth liner last year and a lot of young teams especially like Detroit who have an abundance of low round picks would be really interested in acquiring his services, especially if he has a little bit of a larger carpet and can get them that little bit closer to the cap floor I think the Oilers would definitely trade him for probably a sixth or seventh, wherever round there scouts feel like the would really like to draft two players in. Or the Oilers could look at maybe acquiring an extra seventh round pick for next year's trade deadline in 2024 or 2023. Probably 2022 or 24 just because 2023 is a really deep draft, this gives you a little bit of extra currency for any last minute trades at the trade deadline next year, look what Troy stecher did for the kings, probably the best seventh round draft pick ever traded last year in my opinion. Hopefully you enjoy my little fun tonight and even though these probably won't happen, and the Oilers will probably just draft at what they currently have and probably not make any moves besides dumping cap, especially with my favourite defenceman Tyson Barrie I think at the end of the day I just can't wait for Holland to turn the Oilers into a Stanley Cup winning team, I truly think calling is one of the best GMs

Coyotes decline. Would need broberg/Holloway/Xavier in the package just for Chychrun let alone them taking Keith and klefboom on top of that. Blues have no need for foegele. They have little cap space and can’t be wasting it on a 4th line forward for us

Probably starts with that with little adds to make the trade even.

I'd be fine with that. They need to overpay for a guy without a NTC and can actually move the puck

"Wall of text" just took on a new meaning.
The odds of anyone on this site reading 1075 words (LMAOOOO) without any attempt of using paragraphs aren't that great I'd imagine.

Anyway, I'd love that trade for the Devils.
    I'm a big fan of Puljujärvi's game.
