That does not get 33rd overall maybe it gets a Brooks added to the Oilers 2nd though

Edit** Actually it probably doesn't get you past the Habs 3rd TBH

Rather just keep Garland and not sign Malkin, I don't trust the amount of health left in the tank

No one wants Tyler Myers and his contract, also see absolutely no reason Buffalo wants Garland for a first.

Sidenote, Letang-Hughes pairing sets the NHL record for goals scored for and against while they're on the ice lol

Malkin lives in Florida and loves it there. If he leaves Pitt I can’t imagine he goes to the furthest possible city from Miami

I agree but I think the OP wanted to get a higher pick so he included their 4th thinking that might move the pick up basically 2 full rounds.

Habs would counter with the 26th and Brooks for the 15th 😉

We’ll give them a late 4th and Brook for DiPietro nothing better than that. We already have Dobes and Dichow who took strides

I think the thought is Primeau comes up and DiPietro goes to Laval if Price is unable to go or we trade Allen.

Under no circumstances should primeau get called up, one more full year in the AHL and he'll be ready

I don't like the idea either just saying what the thought process could be.

Ok but in reality Mtl will go Allen-Montembeault Primeau-DiPietro Dobes NCAA Dichow SHL. If Price comes back then Price-Allen Primeau Montembeault and we don’t trade for DiPietro. Let’s say we don’t trade for DiPietro and Price doesn’t come back, we sign Kevin Poulin to an AHL contract to back up Primeau
