Columbus needs a defensive defenseman, not another offensive one.

I really like a Konecny move centered around Dumba, but it would be a move that signals lack of vision for the team. It would very much feel like trying to shove a round peg into a square hole by relying on lots of unknowns to come together to have success when there is a significantly less risky and possibly higher reward if the time horizon moves out 3 years.

Good idea on the face though and if PHI put it on the table I’d 100% consider.

Ah right, for some reason I was thinking of him as an LD. Even so, Ceulemans is the clear better prospect at this point

I’m not entirely sure that’s true. Ceulemans is alright. Bit of a puck hog instead of using easy outlet passes. Skating is decent. Defense is decent. I don’t think there is a huge difference in value either way.
