No interest in Johnsson. Would you do Wood for MP 1 for 1?

Not really a huge fan of any of the three moves for NJ. NJ needs a legit t6 wing or they need to go for a strong two way winger for the middle 6. Graves has been a pretty good player and the pettersson trade doesn’t feel like it feels a need. I do agree with the idea of trading zacha, would like a draft pick type return on him from the NJ perspective or make him part of a bigger trade

I am just concerned with how little interest Pettersson got at the TDL this yr as some teams treated him as a cap dump. I do believe Marcus Pettersson is the better player of the two

Wood’s value is likely well below that right now since he is unsigned and was out all of last year (except for a few games at end). But I still think NJD keeps him since he is important part of team on and off the ice. If Pens didn’t want Mango, I’d just substitute with a pick…maybe one of our 4ths

I don’t believe the pens were shopping Pettersson at the deadline. They did get calls of Marino (VAN mostly).

If you’d do a 1 for 1, I’m in.

DET fans were offering 3rd. It would probably have to be a 3rd because “in division”. I could care less about that, some people do, but would prefer a 3rd for a top four D

Idk why devils fans keep proposing this trade to the caps. The caps don’t do this trade, they would not trade Samsonov for Zacha ever

I don’t think it’s a top-6 winger we need as much as a skillset. Primary needs in wing are in front of net and in corners…not really another skilled player.

Barbashev can play wing and center, throws the body around and has some touch.

Pettersson is on par with Graves in my view. But has some term and is still young.

Like I said at top, doesn’t have to be these exact moves, but there is a disproportionate amount of Gaudreau or DeBrincat to NJD ACGMs and I wanted to balance with my view.

Not sure the Blues would have all that much interest in Thompson, but maybe.

NHL skill, average skating, pee-wee size. He has been adding weight, but probably needs another year since last year's injuries slowed him down. Can play center as well (played there in college). He is likely a decent bottom-6er with some upside as 2RW if he adds mass and refines the shot.

Other alternatives: Graeme Clarke, Daniil Misyul, Jaromir Pytlik

Blues likely take this. Maybe Army tries someone other than Tyce, but this helps both teams.
