Dubios gets a lot more.

1st this year CGY, 2nd this year MTL , top 5 protected 1st next year, and Barron, to start.

The Jets simply don't have a reason to sell this low on all these players. It would be very poor asset management. Other than the Arizona deal the Jets don't touch any of them.

Thx for the input. Dubois’s trade was the hardest for me to figure out what they could get from the Habs

The habs have no desire to move those kinds of assets. If they want dubois they can wait 2 years for him to be a ufa and build up assets in the meantime

Jets really shouldn’t be heavy sellers in the first place. they have a few holes to fill but they can easily get back on track in a post maurice era

That's the equivalent of almost 4x1st round picks. Barron was a 1st round pick with a stable progression and the 2nd round pick is one spot away of being a first. Not saying you're super wrong because a PLD trade would require some real good assets but this is a little steep. I think this proposal is fair with maybe the EDM 2nd round pick or the 2023 habs 2nd round pick to be added.

I think the MTL trade is fair and you could probably even get a little more but if Im Kent Hughes, Guhle is an untouchable, this guy will be one of the more reilable Dman of the NHL in a couple of years without ever being a star. Much rather take a swing at PLD when he hits free agency in 2024, especially since he was openly saying he really wanted to play in MTL before even coming to WIN.

I'd rather have Bergeron in Free Agency
PLD isnt worth going after until he's a UFA
Only someone completely Challenged would Pay for a Rental while Rebuilding

That's like Renovating your house before Demolishing it
It just makes no sense at all

Dubois definetly gets more than the original deal, but this deal is overdoing it. Jets would get a 1st and one of MTL's top young players (think Caufield). Habs fans don't like to hear it, but that's what it'll take.

Removing Poehling for Caufield but maybe downgrading Guhle to Mailloux might make the trade be fair?

Can’t see the Devils have any interest in moving either of Holtz or pick #2 for two years of Hellebuyck.

Caufield for dubois one for one won't happen because the JETS would have to add
