Defies all logic that the Isles give up a first for 35 point, 5.5m X 5 Anderson, then UFA Marchment (pro rated to 70 points last season) signs for just 3.5m

That Toronto deal is terrible. If the goal you think you are achieving for Montreal is next year first overall, well done, but they can likely achieve that without giving up a decent #2 goalie, and retaining salary. If this trade removed Allen from the deal with his retention, it is pretty close.

Yeah, not even close for the leafs, a backup doesn't get you a 1st and a 4th defender just because you take mrazek.
The leafs can get value for holl and buy mrazek out and then trade a 3rd or whatever for a better goalie like talbot

On this team, he is. The goal isn't to be better - rebuild.

Why is he on the 3rd line tho ?
He’s a 13th forward who only brings energy. A 3rd line has to be good defensively and chip some offense. You have RHP and Evans on the 4th line and Evans is maybe 10X better than Pezzetta and RHP is an offensive player
