Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Dufour, William
  2. 2022 1st round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
If the Islanders are indeed targeting Anderson this summer, it’s only worthwhile for the Habs to part with him for a 1st + prospect. If this price is met, Montreal should pull the trigger. If not, might as well keep Anderson since he can be part of the next core.
NYI
  1. Anderson, Josh
  2. 2022 4th round pick (TBL)
2.
MTL
  1. Hill, Adin
  2. 2022 1st round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
With San Jose rebuilding and lacking a 2nd, would the Sharks be willing to part with the #11 overall and Hill (cap dump) in exchange for #26, #33, #74, former top-50 pick D prospect (Mailloux/Struble?) and Mike Hoffman? With (redundent G) Hill going the other way, Hoffman’s net cap impact would be 2.3M this year and he has only 1 year left after that, so he can potentially be a TDL 2023 tradebait, especially if the Sharks can afford to retain. If Hoffman is a no-go, what about #11 vs #26+33+#74 only?
SJS
  1. Hoffman, Mike
  2. Mailloux, Logan
  3. 2022 1st round pick (CGY)
  4. 2022 2nd round pick (MTL)
  5. 2022 3rd round pick (ANA)
3.
MTL
  1. 2022 1st round pick (SEA)
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
Provided the Habs acquire two top 15 picks from the previous trades, would the Kraken be enticed to move #4 and #36 for #11 and #13? Without the aforementioned trades, would #1 + #97 (or #65) vs #4 + #36 work? I humbly think Nemec should be prioritized to Wright from a Habs’ perspective.
SEA
  1. 2022 1st round pick (SJS)
  2. 2022 1st round pick (NYI)

The Isles are not targeting Anderson, it was started by a blogger and that would be an absolute terrible trade, your valuing Anderson more than Fiala just got.

Sorry but anderson, mailloux 26th 33rd 75h and a 4th (hoffman is not negative value but not sure how to grade his value) for nemec is a pretty steep price to pay

Take out the 11th overall San Jose is giving up and deal. Mailloux has little value around the league with what he has done and Mike Hoffman isn't going to be on the same team as Karlsson.

For the last time islanders aren’t targeting Anderson it was a random rumour with no facts behind it that Canadiens fans went insane over

Say what you want about those players, but to SJ both are negative value. You would need to remove 11OA for us to take this deal

In this scenario, the Habs replace #33 with #36 and also get an interesting 6’3’’ RW prospect in Dufour for which I’d gladly spend a 3rd anyways.

Adding Wright+Nemec in the same draft would be extraordinary for the franchise.

I won't even comment on the Seattle trade given that the trades made to necessitate it are so far from possible! I am a fan of Anderson. When he's at his best . . . wow! . . . I get the appeal around the league. But he is incredibly inconsistent, both production-wise and in effort level, IMO. He is overpaid with far too much term . . . and NYI would be making a huge mistake trading their first OR Dufour for him straight up, let alone both. The San Jose trade is just asinine. A PR nightmare in Mailloux and another in reuniting Hoffman and Karlsson . . . . I'm sure San Jose will pay up their 1st for that nightmare!!

****. I totally forgot about the Hoffman/Karlsson saga! The proposal (with players) is a no-go indeed!
