I appreciate the input, not sure where Flames fans sit. I thought it would be beneficial for the flames to have White, an overall better player and save cap space to sign the big guys not under contract

You can keep your players, we will keep Cat. 7OA is okay but not nearly enough and the rest of the offer once values added up probably equates but its not the quality CHI is looking at in any prospective Cat trade.

How so? C. Brown can easily get Chicago a 1st round pick at minimum at the deadline. Joseph is a legit top 9 NHL player, Brannstrom can fill that spot Boqvist should be in right now as a top 4 PP2 guy, Gus is a potential NHL starter and a 1st round pick that can be a top 6 player in no time and Zaitsev is just for cap and I heard Chicago is interested in him.

Cat is a perennial 40 goal scorer at 24 years of age. He will probably score even more on a better team. While Brown is good and could get us a pick, we would prefer the pick immediately then have a placeholder. We have a heap of guys like Joseph and Brannstrom so they don't really add much value from our perspective.

I could go on, though what I'm getting at, is that the ceiling of any of these guys is not close to what id like to see in any return for the Cat. Pinto and/or Greig should be in play for any proposal IMO as they have higher ceilings.
