That trade is bad for Seattle, not sure what their motivation would be.

I'm pretty sure Pulujarvi is going to want more than that, and Husso probably will as well.

Seattle needs offense and Barrie is an OFD so they would see some value in him and the 3rd round pick is an extra sweetener to get them to accept the trade.

As for the Pulijarvi contract, he won't get much due to his lack of playoff production if he resigns with the oilers a short-term one or two-year deal with a low cap hit will be what he gets.

Same for Ville Husso good regular season but lackluster playoffs and he is an unproven goaltender who has only had one good season.

Seattle has clearly shown they value cap flexibility. Trading one season of Soucy who's underpaid, for multiple seasons of Barrie who's overpaid is a bad deal even with a third round pick attached. I don't see them doing it. Barrie adds empty calorie offence, Seattle is not built like that at all.

Pulujarvi is signing an offersheet if that's all you want to give him and he'll be much happier.

Husso is a top UFA target for multiple teams. He's not giving Edmonton a deal.

I still stand by my opinion on Seattle's interest in Barrie they want offense and Barrie will provide that.

if Pulijarvi gets an offer sheeted 2mill oilers will just match it. Also, he has stated that he does not want to leave Edmonton.

Max Husso gets is maybe 4mill and the Oiler's recent playoff run has players interested in coming here.
