I think the best spot for Miller is Vancouver.

Maybe!

I see a really big fit for him with the Leafs for this year though. He is exactly the type of player they need to help them get the next step.

why would you trade kerfoot and then sign significantly inferior player domi to the same deal but longer?

Definitely. or they trade Muzzin in the offseason and resign Miller. But more than likely this is a rental situation.

Honestly it makes sense, 1st Resign Sandin then Trade for Miller, Then in the next offseason at the draft trade Muzz + Additional Cap to resign Miller & then slot Sandin in Muzzins Spot only issue is Bunts is up that year too

Two top prospects, a productive middle-6 forward and a first round pick is far too much to pay for Miller. The Leafs aren't desperate.

If that's the offseason ask they will just wait until the deadline and circle back when it will be far less.

They also get Schenn and a 3rd here. Which is not neglegible either. It is a big ask but at the Deadline I don't see it changing much to be honest.

Roster player who can play now, 1st round pick. top prospect + another prospect or pick is usually what those guys command at the deadline. My offer is that however its two top prospects (one of which whose value has declined a bit) but we get Schenn and a 3rd as well.

Whose value has declined? You can't mean Robertson after the year he had in the AHL right?

Schenn is a 3rd pair D, they are a dime a dozen, and a 3rd is not much. The deal is still bad for Toronto. And the ask ABSOLUTELY changes at the deadline, because a) you won't need retention and b) you get less of the player, so you give up less to get him. No rental has EVER gotten such a package. So the Leafs would go in another direction here or wait it out. They don't NEED to upgrade 2LW in the offseason if they don't find value.

Who do you think Muzzin waives for? I think he doesn't waive and does a hometown discount after his contract is up. He has his ring and l don't think he will uproot his family. imo

Next summer his Full NTC gets shifted to a M-NTC with "Starting July 1, 2023: Player submits a 10 team no trade list." as the stipulations.

Ultimately he can be traded to 22 teams next summer without him having to waive. Up until that point he would need to waive.

You see my logic then
