Girard, at only 24 will command more value from the Canucks than just JT Miller. He has proven he can be a great offensive-defenseman when not fighting injuries. Canucks will not be adding. They can get a much better deal elsewhere. The last thing Vancouver needs is a small offensive left hand defenseman. We literally got 3 of those already

That package doesn’t get you miller alone let alone with the other pieces involved. Canucks counter with ferland and Myers for Makar

Would Canucks have interest in any of these options:

1) Toews for Miller+?

2) Newhook+ for Miller

3) 1st + Olausson/Foudy/Behrens

I’d do Newhook and a mid-round pick as the plus in a heartbeat. I’d also do the Toews deal if Canucks pull off something surprising and move OEL.
