I think the islanders would rather move next years first and a spec for a player like Garland they would only move the 13th for a top player

I like the Devils deal, and since they have enough cap to sign Miller to an extension, we should be able to get a extra mid-round pick

Can’t complain about the cbj trade, though I’m not sure how good of a prospect Woo is anymore.

I'd take next year's first and Bolduc for him instead.

There is no chance that Bratt is on the table for Miller. Bratt rumors are more than likely fictitious, misreported, or a negotiation tactic. If he's traded, it's for a better return, and if he's traded for Miller, Vancouver is the one that would have to add.

I know it's rumored, but the Canucks need something other than Bratt coming back. Great player, just doesn't fit the Canucks needs unless they're flipping him for an RHD to play with Hughes.

Montreal can't take Dickinson's cap hit, they're trying to shed salary to re-sign Romanov.

He's a long shot tbh. Maybe with a change of scenery he can become a throwback bottom pair dman. He's still only 21 even though it feels like he's been around a while.

I get what you're saying with only getting Bratt (and McLeod) in return and I love Miller but there is risk on both sides here. Miller is great and a proven elite player, but there is a lot of risk in committing to him long term at his age. Bratt is only 23 and just had a near ppg season, but he was never a highly touted prospect and while he's been really good in the NHL there is a definite risk that this is a career high for him.

It's going to be really difficult to get a sure thing young RHD for Miller. I don't mind using him to get a proven commodity that if he continues to improve could become an integral part of the core right around the same age as Petey and Hughes.

I get the feeling the Canucks won't be able to get that premium RHD and will instead have to make smart bets and develop their own guys to fill that role. Rather than force a fix, wait for the right opportunity when the right player is available to fill that role on D.

No rumor is only Bratt being a potential piece in a Miller trade.

Malkin is just something I think would be a culture changing move if the Canucks end up having the space. Could be integral in having our young core take the next step as professionals.

I think you're pretty much there value-wise for Miller.

Not sure Islanders go for Garland that hard.

Otherwise, this is really well thought out.

Not enough for miller. Bratt has had one good year. Miller has been ppg for the last 3 including 99 this year. Depending on bratts next deal I’d say anywhere from a b prospect to next years 1st needs to be added by the devils

Trading Bratt for JT would be nothing short of catastrophic for the Devils.
Seriously hope Fitzgerald would never entertain this idea.

And Miller is the most overrated rental in NHL history
