    Devils decline.

Did you forget to sign Campbell or something? Just playing 5m under the cap?

I’d say the first trade is bad for both. He isn’t needed and alleviating Toronto of cap issues for a fourth round pick isn’t smart. Could a team value Holl, sure but it isn’t Detroit.

Seider, Hronek and Lindstrom at RD. No need for Holl.

With Blackwood as the starter, I think Kallgren is a solid backup. I also wanted to keep some cap space because I think it's a good lineup to start the season (and give both Liljegren and Sandin a chance to be in the lineup) but they might need to make adjustments and need cap space.

Can't run with a 20 man roster. You need to account for injuries and players needing the odd game off. Dubie will likely carry 7D and go with 21. Having the Marlies in Toronto is a big advantage but they've lost a few players to waivers the past few years.

So you're saying to add something on top of Mrazek and the 2nd?

Add something or take out Blackwood entirely

Yeah it would be Mrazek and a 2nd for a 7th in my opinion. Getting Mrazek's 2 years at 3.8 mil AAV off the books would be huge for the Leafs. Dubie has to give NJ a reason to help him out.

Trading a valuable asset as a cap dump is stupid. I don't care how you look at it.
