I like the idea of getting Crouse, he might cost a bit more to resign tho.
Also pretty sure Fleury has said he wont sign in Edmonton.

In my opinion, Krause is an upgrade of our left flank, as a result of this, Vogel had to be given away to free up space under the cap, but I think the left edge has become stronger with the acquisition of Krause. Signing Fleury for Edmonton would be the ideal scenario, and who knows, Fleury will prioritize sporting success and the opportunity to win another cup and, at the end of his career, agree to play in Edmonton for the next two years.

Sharks aren’t taking on EDM’s cap dumps for free and gifting them retention on Kane.

What's the hold on Kane, do you have an arbitration award? or are you a judge? while it's still written on the water with a pitchfork, so I assume that Kane is a free agent, and at the expense of keeping the cap, round 2 in addition to Kassian will satisfy you?

nobody actually knows what will go down. Just educated guessing.
Best case is that the termination is upheld because they had reason and the NHL also agreed with it. Kane can then sign where ever.
Worst case is that SJ is left with a cap hit without getting anything while Kane can again sign where ever.
Weird middle case is that the contract is reinstated, but this situation isn't bad for SJ because Kane rejuvenated his value tremendously during playoffs and they are not forced to only deal with EDM, who want's Kane a lot.
If it goes the last route of SJ being stuck with Kane's contract then you can at least assume they wouldn't do anything that is worse than just buying him out. You should test your initial deals with "is this better for SJ than them just buying him out?" and if the answer is no then you know it's fantasy. Something like 1st/2nd+Puljujärvi for retained Kane would be fair, or other combinations where retaining or taking on cap dumps are actually compensated properly...
