He's probably not available but that package could at least get Boston's attention.

Carlo is probably not available, I suspect it would be a veteran guy on a 2-3 year contract. Perhaps a Tyler Myers reunion? I also wouldn't be surprised if they tried to land Klingberg.

DeAngelo is another guy but after Kane and Eichel (although he was seen more of a distraction when he wanted out), I don't know if they would want someone who was a problem in the locker room.

It is but olofsson is kind of expendable right now. I love him but if we're talking who I'd rather keep between him Quinn and peterka, olofsson is the odd man out.
And with the draft capital losing 1 of 3 1sts and 1 of 3 2nds in 2023 takes some of the sting out.
Plus I think Carlo is the perfect acquisition if he was available.

Meh for a team that has struggled scoring for the last 10 years trading the most pure goal scorer on the team isnt ideal for me. Sign him, let him score 20+ by the deadline and if you are out of it then move him at his peak. Carlo is great yeah but probably could find someone like him in FA that doesnt cost assets

Problem is if Olofsson has a bad season then he losses a ton of value since he will probably have quite a significant contract with some term. Probably why they will move on and get a goal scorer once the backend is solidified.

Plus, there's Jeff Skinner and his 9m contract, he got paid to score, so I don't expect them to pay a goal scorer unless he's getting 30+ on their team already until that contract is gone. Or they get the chance to add a ufa in a few years.

Fair enough. I wouldn't mind that but I think you're hard pressed to find someone like Carlo in FA.

Separate note, let's say buffalo doesn't bring in or trade any talent away. How do you set up your lines. I think bringing up Quinn and Peterka makes it hard. I think realistically between olofsson mittelstadt Quinn and peterka. Someone is left out.

I think mitts has his breakout year if he can stay healthy. I think olofsson is who he is at this point ( solid middle 6 scoring machine) and then Quinn and Peterka which are a little unknown at the NHL level but I don't see them gaining much py playing AHL again
