True, I didn't think of the buyout of Kassian until you just said it.

Everyone knows Samuelsson would be in the lineup, Asplund could be or couldn't be depending on how the youngsters pan out, may find that Paterka or Quinn need another year in Rochester. Also if they draft Savoie, that changes everything top to bottom.

I just like what he did in the playoffs, he's a banger, and we lack that type of defenseman other than Samuelsson. Fitzgerald tries.

Yeah, I mean, as a Ducks fan, I've always loved Manson. Guy is a beauty. 8 x $6 is pure insanity though. 4 x $5 would even be excessive. He's a beauty, but he's also showed some decline in the past few years along with a bit of a troublesome injury history.

That being said, Klinger's ask was apparently between 7-8 x 8 in an income tax-less state. Not saying he'll necessarily get that, but I'd imagine he'll be higher than 8 x $6

Yes I agree, I just figured he played well in the Playoffs, his stock went from 4 or 5 to 6 just on performance and teams always overpaying at FA time. Also, need to sweeten the pot just a touch because, it is Buffalo, and players who haven't spent time here, need to be retrained on the culture. That costs a little bit.

Fair enough...also, just a quick FYI, you can't give either 8 years...can only give 7 max, unless they were on your roster prior to the trade deadline. Cheers.
