Not going anywhere with that goaltending, significantly worse top 6
Deslauiers isnt an nhl player and can we please stop pretending ltir has any value to the leafs? Littles contract is a pure 100% negative asset that would cost significantly for the coyotes to dump to the leafs. It would create all sorts of repurcusions for their cap, salary and bonus structures

Two most valuable pieces in the Kings trade... by far... are going to Toronto.

Add in Knies and maybe the Kings consider.

At least this wasn't another Muzzin trade though.

Not enough for Blackwood. Holl, mind you, is a 30 year old depth defenseman with one year before UFA.

Can we also stop pretending Chychrun is an elite defender? He's a solid top 4 D and is still young, but at this point he's probably not going to be one of the top defenders in the game. Leafs should just trade Nylander for Hanifin.

I recognize that Chychrun plays on a terrible team and is still doing good but why any team trade for him an overpay if they don't absolutely need him. Teams without a need for a top 4 LD should either buy low or give a reasonable offer, not overpay. He only has 3 years left and will almost certainly test free agency if ARZ doesn't trade him.

Of course kings would accept if they had knies in the deal that’s are top forward prospects. Leafs aren’t trading there top prospects. We could maybe add in a draft pick. Perhaps a 1st or a 2nd or a 3rd or or or a 1st and a 3rd perhaps

I dont rescind my statement. The difference in value from the players you have the Leafs receiving versus who you are sending to LA is massive.

It would take significantly more than a late 1st or a combination of a late second and third.

So. Knies or no thanks. And even then the Kings likely say no.

If they want Holl it could happen, if they end up getting a tandem in free agency. The OP is probably assuming both are going for a 3rd, but chances are that NJ would want a 3rd+Holl because for the reasons you gave or at least something on top in the case that they don't keep Holl.

Turcotte is one of LAs top forward prospects, Matt Roy is a RHD who is more established than the young LD Sandin. Hirvonen is probably considered a B+ prospect at best (he's a small center so they won't be too keen on him perhaps). That they would ask for Knies is normal but of course the Leafs would reject.

Knies isn’t even worth it, just add in a different prospect. Knies has a ton a value and if you’d add him in that deal it probably be an overpayment

For sure, I was just saying once the name Turcotte is thrown in there they are going to want something equally as valuable if not more back from the Leafs. I don't know why the Leafs would want to trade for him anyways.
