Calgary and Rangers are in cap crunch's. They won't retain anything. Isn't enough for Coleman either

Drop the 2nd in exchange for no salary retention and the Rangers would probably do that but they can't afford to retain on a deal for that long.

Now why would the Rangers (who just signed the contract a year ago, one of Drury's first moves, and after a good season by Goodrow) retain 50% over 50 years, now that they're in their contending window? And to help out Tampa Bay? For a garbage return? C'mon. All these trades are massively one sided

Replace Rangers with Calgary, Goodrow with Coleman, and remove the 1st move part, and you got it right for Calgary as well🤣🤣

Not to mention that Barclay and Ryan Reaves are Gerard Gallant. But this fact is a hammer blow to any mention that either one of them are departing the Big Apple.
