Sabres need alot more then one player to get this team in the playoffs long term. They would say no. That's just way to much value, especially after what Fiala went for.

Hawks say no to this deal. You're giving the hawks your scraps for deBrincat. The Hawks want the big deal and they won't take 2 mid-first-round picks and 2 middle 6 wingers and a mid-second as well for debrincat. The hawks want a high first or an A+ prospects that will turn into what debrincat is.

BUFFALO: Quinn, 2022 first (Buffalo) (8th overall pick), 2022 first (Vegas) (16th overall pick), and 2023 second (Philly)

Chicago: Alex Debrincat, 2022 6th round pick (Columbus)

Yeah I don't see that value coming back. He's a great winger, but he's a winger. They probably settle for a first, and 2 prospects. Sabres don't really fit this trade.

Settle? The hawks aren't settling for anything in a debrincat trade. That's why the asking price is so high. Also he's not just a winger, he's a top winger in the league and a top 5 goal scorer in the league at 24. Hes basically a franchise talent and Buffalo should look to get him if they wanna speed the rebuild up.

Sabres tried to speed up their rebuild in the past and it didn't work.

Their might be a team willing to make that trade, but it isn't this team. The GM has said multiple times they plan on building through the draft and using all 3 picks.

Again though Reinhart got a prospect and 1st, Fiala got a prospect and 1st. Wingers don't normally bring home alot. Blackhawks should probably just extend him.

Reinhart and Fiala aren't as good as Debrincat though. Also Minnisota had no leverage on that deal, as they had to get rid of him. Hawks have tons of leverage on every team.

Looks like all he was worth was a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd.
