miller to rags discussion

Created by: BenningTruther
Team: 2022-23 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 6, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
VAN
  1. Kakko, Kaapo [RFA Rights]
  2. Schneider, Braden
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
i can already see rags fan saying schnider is untouchable and maybe he is. but he would be my main target in a miller to NYR trade. not to high on lundqvist because of his size but maybe allvin wants to bring in more swedes. kakko could also be swapped out for another asset (2023 1st) which would give the canucks two picks in a stacked draft. let me know what you think
NYR
  1. Miller, J.T.
  2. 2022 4th round pick (VAN)

I wouldn’t call Schneider untouchable, but if he’s in a trade I don’t see him and Kakko packaged together.

It doesn’t matter what you add, a Miller to New York mock trade will guarantee angry Rags fans

As presented, i would take this from Vancouver POV. Would try and maybe move the 2nd Round pick though to 2023 to optimize draft capital in the deeper draft.

i was thinking that too, a schnieder, two 2nds/one 1st package also would intrigue me (or prospects with similar value to 2nds, not too familiar with the rags org but i know they have some deep prospect cupboards)

So you don't like lundkvist because of his size which is the same size as fox hughes and makar??? And you said it Schneider is untouchable but any trade that the Rangers make shouldn't include laf kakko Schneider miller and maybe chytil but that leaves cuylle korzac othmann kravtsov lundkvist Jones Robertson garand and picks

i wouldnt want to build a d core with 3 guys under 6 foot (hughes, rathbone, lunqvist) and thats a long list of untouchables for a 99 point guy...

Yeah just a one time 99 point guy. How many Rangers players have hit 99 points before? Funny how Miller outscored your whole team while playing on said “subpar” team

All I see is homer bias and denial. You can’t seriously convince anyone that Miller isn’t an incredible player

Homer bias says the sad Canucks enthusiasts... Miller isn't an incredible player he's a good player but not incredible. Incredible is the likes of makar Crosby ovi josi ect.

i mean miller outscored all of them and makes half as much.. 1/4 if nucks retain. not saying points are everything but he also has great intangibles that dont show up on the scoresheet

Funny how you don't mention the 95 points in 69 games by panarin of the 75 points in 57 points by zibanejad. So I'll do the math for you
Miller 80g 99p 1.2375ppg
Panarin 69g 95p 1.3768ppg
Zibanejad 57g 75p 1.3158ppg

Kakko's actual value is a but of a mystery, but Schneider has done nothing but exceed expectations since being drafted. That's the biggest difference there. One of them (Rangers would probably rather move Kakko) plus extra picks/prospects.

Sure Miller’s worth it but he’s just not a fit on the Rangers in terms of cap. I keep hearing that Washington’s interested, though

That just goes to show that Miller is producing similarly to your top players. That means Miller would be one of your top players. Is that so hard to accept?
