Think Flames would decline, however if that ‘23 is the ‘22 pick maybe a different story

DET would. CGY wouldn’t. If Tkachuk really did go on the block that offer is easily beaten.

I'd be stunned if Calgary bit on that

Ahhh that was actually my bad, hit the wrong draft pick. My idea was meant to be 8th overall and Bertuzzi for MT

Draft picks are messed up rn so I figured but I mean Bertuzzi + 8th overall is not a bad offer I mean if he was available I’m sure you’d have to add a tad more to outbid another team but yes, not completely far off here

No. If we trade Chucky, and high end young Center must come back. It’s our biggest need and the only thing I would trade him for. Example 2overall this year would get us one of Wright or Cooley. Only thing that I think we need otherwise keep Tkachuk and love along.

If another wave of Covid hits, what are we going to do? Bertuzzi can't play in Canada. No thank you

I would love chucky in Detroit but I don't think that's what Calgary would be looking for. Also it doesn't make sense for Detroit to be trading picks right now. That pick could be a better organizational need.

Obviously a deal of this magnitude there would be an extension involved on both sides.

23’ pick > 22’ pick. 23 draft is much deeper and highly doubt DET will be leaps and bounds better than the 8OA next year. I actually think they could be worse with OTT, NJ, and PHI likely leaving the basement next year for various reasons. I would rather trade the 22’ pick, 23’ pick should be the preferred option.
