It is your team so I dont really have much to say but if i am red wings this off season I will try to get younger as possible.... maybe keep couple of older guys to help the younger guys learn but I would surely start by selling off the Goalies and even green to start it off.

Ok I think Howard needs to go asap I would try to trade green while he still has value and really the only older guy I would keep is zetterberg

With the NMC/NTC on some of the older players it makes it more difficult as well as the current status of the goalie market I don't believe there is a way to get anything respectable for Howard. We also saw this year that JC is not any better than a mediocre NHL backup goalie and i don't expect anything other than a very short term solution for that position if howard gets traded. I also left green in the lineup to help DDK learn some more from him before we ship green off if needed at the trade deadline as a fill in d man for some other team for some draft choices. Gudbranson needs to get back to form after his surgery and putting him lower and showing him there is room to advance in the lines should push him back into his form. Placing Hank on the #2 line with "the younguns" helps them grow and takes the pressure off Hank to do the hard backskates that the speedy youngsters can and will cover for him so we aren't loosing a good leader because he was over worked, he said himself he cannot keep up playing 1st line centre anymore and we shouldn't push him too his role should be smart play making teacher to the young guys.
