Do people actually believe this team is good enough for a Playoff push right now or is it just the immediate rush from the trade?

Still have a ways to go in the offseason, but that defense and goaltending won't get them anywhere.

It looks like Ottawa finally has the core to make the playoffs or at least contend for a wild card spot in the next few years. If not, they need to stay patient and get the right pieces.

They are going to compete for a playoff spot for sure. Boston and Washington are likely to take a step back and out of Detroit, Buffalo, New Jersey, Columbus and Ottawa, Ottawa just made themselves the front runners to over take them.

At this point I think it's Jersey being led by a huge year from Hughes and Ottawa that challenge to be on the inside of those wild card spots next year

Is it confirmed that Giroux is signing? Yea plenty of assets and time left in the offseason.



It's still early in the offseason but I wouldn't be confident in Ottawa being ahead of Detroit or Columbus.

This likely puts ottawa as a front runner for Giroux. Connor Brown is likely out. Looks like Zaitsev is also being shipped out. Sens have inquired about Weegar and are still in on Chychrun apparently

To be honest none of this get's my hopes up that much.
