Personally I don't really rate Dach so I feel like Blackhawks wins this one going away.

On the surface, looks like Hawks win. Depends if Dach can grow into the C MTL is hoping for under Suzuki.

Although Dach is not the same player he was touted as 3 years ago, he's still a bluechip prospect.

Fair deal.

So essentially they move Romanov + 13th overall pick +66th overall pick plus 98th overall pick for Dach. They arguably gave up more than Ottawa did for a proven 40 goal scorer.

Dach has potential, I think a change of scenery might give him time to shine, but that's quite a price for the struggling stats he's put up. I look forward to seeing him play there, but I'll miss him in Chicago. Best of luck with him, Habs!

Value wise thats alright i guess but it depends on who CHI picks with 13th. I just don't know why you're rebuilding and trading your 2 youngest players, unless they're going completely scortched earth and Toews and Kane trades are coming later.

Hate the Habs. But Dach seems like the real deal. Good recover from the Wright flub.

How badly are you destroying your team?

If Chicago did in fact ruin his development by rushing him this is a major steal by Chicago. I think Chicago wins this trade quite easily.

Habs going for size for once, with Dach and the 1st OA pick. Speaking of which, the Habs didn't learn their lesson from drafting KK so high rather than going for North American.

I think Dach can do well as a 2C under Suzuki, and that should only help his development. Felt like he may have been thrown into the deep-end in CHI considering Toews performance and injuries the past few years, as well as expectations put on him.

The 13th pick belonged to the Isles, you dont get 13 w/o trading Romy

It's Romanov, 66th and 98 for Dach. Not the worst. Romanov at best is a 2nd pair guy. Low risk, high reward

Debrincat has less team control and will probably walk to free agency in 2024

Carefull about the late picks label.... the 66th is basically a low 2nd round. And the 98th a low 3rd.

Have to agree, hopefully MTL can get Dach on the right path again. The C position should be their top priority. Still a lot shocked they didn't take Wright.

Kevin Korchinski was a b prospect before the year. Suddenly, this trade looks much better. 13th pick is a tossup. Draft is weak.
