    rather pick a guy rated ~50th overall on average.

    well
    we both know the sharks wanted Korchinski or Mintyukov and when both were picked they ended up scrambling, but when a top guy like lambert falls that far you take him!!!

    i want to give them the benefit of the doubt after the two stellar drafts previously, but trading back to 27th and then having Lambert fall all the way to them there just to take a guy with 3rd line C ceiling and more likely a 4c career is stupid.

    100%. Trading a pick you could have used on Nazar, Geekie, Lekkerimaki or Kemell is a poor decision regardless of what return you get back. First mistake was there.

    And then, when a player with top-5 talent level falls to you you pass for a guy who has a low floor and low ceiling who (like you said) is a 4th liner if were being generous.

    I hate it all so much.
