If Kadri gets an offer he cant refuse

Description
I have Newhook as 2C, but either Rantanen or Copp could take over if he's not ready. The key is that plans B and C are already on the roster.

I actually think Kadri stays, but this looks pretty good if he doesn't.

I'd pass on Marchment - I'm sure someone will overpay but I wouldn't want to be the team doing it. He's *never* scored like he did this year as a professional - you'd have to go back to his overage season in the OHL to find any of his seasons where he even scored more than the 47 points he had this year. I just don't see any reason for his breakout that you can't attribute to spending most of his ice time with Sam Reinhart this year, and I don't think Meyers & Lehkonen are going to be able to rise to that level of offense.

Someone is going to offer him a contract for way too much for way too long.

I don't disagree with your assessment. He brings more than just scoring though. The third line is meant to be more of a checking line that can chip in some offense. Looks pretty good on paper, imo.

That said, it's definitely a risk, which is why I kept the deal short. If it pays off, great. If not, it shouldn't be too tough to pull the rip cord.

I would like to bring in marchment, as i think he could be a great depth add but it will probily be a one year 'show me' type of deal. i also would like to keep compher, i have usually been a compher hater over the last two years but he really stepped up during playoffs with some timely goals and gave us a little extra effort when he needed to be 2C. I think he would be good to keep till the end of his contract.

I'd really like to get a little draft capital back, and I think Compher is the way to make that happen. He's fine, but Meyers essentially replaces him for cheaper. It's a smart play to sell high on him imo.
