Description

WHAT A DRAFT! Really liking what Gorton and Hughes are doing. Now we need to unload some salary by trading Hoffman, even Armia if possible.

With the Slafkovsky selection and Dach trade, I think Habs want to be competitive right away. Even if Petry asked for a trade, he seems to have regained his normal level of play under Martin St-Louis.

Problem I have is that this team isn't good enough to make the playoffs, but not bad enough to finish Bottom 5. I think Habs start the season with this team hoping for the best and will wait to see what happens in the first half. If we are not in the playoffs, guys like Drouin, Dadonov, Allen and Byron will be traded for picks, and possibly Hughes will try to trade some of his 2023 picks to move up into Top 5. Or make some other magic like the Dach trade.

i'm so pissed off about this and the direction it seems like we're going and trying to do right now. Why are we trying to be good in the bedard draft year
