I get what you're going for, I just can't see the Kings moving Jonathan Quick in what's probably the last year of his career.

Also, what's happening with that Arizona trade? Bjork isn't really a guy you want, but I don't know why you're including Portillo to get back a mid/late-3rd rounder and a guy who actually contributes less offense than Bjork does.

I'm amused that you think the Kings have to add in that deal.

Those players get you quick or roy. Not both plus a third round pick

There's no incentive for us to trade either Matt Roy or Jonathan Quick. And I'm not convinced that Ryan Johnson isn't going to play his final college season and then wait 3 months and then sign with one of his two local teams, which also happen to be mine.

The trade is basically Portillo for a 3rd and Bjork for O'Brien. O'Brien is a more physical type of player, which the Sabres need.

I think you're selling low on Portillo there, is what I'm getting at. I know a goalie putting up good numbers in college isn't guaranteed success, but as long as you have him and don't need to move him, why not let it play out? The worst case scenario is you wind up with multiple high-end prospects in goal, and you use them to help get you something better than Liam O'Brien and a 3rd.
