Kempe Extended

Created by: tryger
Team: 2022-23 Los Angeles Kings
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 8, 2022
Published: Jul. 8, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Guessing on his extension, I'm hoping will be closer to $5.5, but I imagine $5.65 is fair after giving Fiala his payday. $1M in cap space to work with + LTIR potential if we need to make some deadline deals for depth.

Grundstrom's qualifying offer is for $874,125.

I believe Anderson and Durzi will both get more than what you have listed here.

I suspect it's something significant like that even if it's slightly less. I figure that they are trying to move someone out before they announce the contract, or perhaps they are trying to sign some other RFAs. If they are looking to move some money out/trade some RFAs, who do you think it could be?

I think they are working on an Anderson signing since they can't afford to lose him and perhaps move someone else out.

Ah, thanks, I'll change the Grundstrom one.

I agree about the Anderson/Durzi, but Jon Hoven was talking about how he could see both taking a 1-year discount for a bigger pay day next offseason.

I have Anderson penciled in at 3 years @ $3.5M. A one-year contract for him would probably be around $2.5M.

Durzi I have at 1-year @ $1M, 2 years @ 1.25M, 3 years @ $1.5M.

Contract steals for both the longer they have term, and I want term, but I think Edler is going to be the one that forces us to pay short contracts for these guys, even in a depth role, we are so weak at LD2. I'll bump up Anderson though, he deserves it.
