Strome is going to get close to his qualifying offer. He's young and been decently productive. Probably looking at north of 3.5M per.

Maybe, I didn’t put much thought into it, I’m sure you could lower Engvall and Sandins salary to pay strome more

You mean not realistic. Minnesota doesn't need Kerfoot whose a bottom line expensive player. Minnesota has no space. Minnesota isn't trading Talbot to take on more cap

I can't see the Wild moving Talbot out and taking basically the same cap hit back in - *if* they're moving him I assume it's for picks or guys on their ELC, and they use part of the savings to find a 1B for Fleury. I would throw a 3rd and a guy like Abramov or Steeves at them for the deal and then trade Kerfoot elsewhere for a 3rd to recoup the pick.

I don't see Ottawa buying Murray out at this point - they've got more than $20M in cap available as we speak and that's *with* his cap hit active. If they buy him out now it carries an extra $2.5M cap hit in 2024-25 & 25-26, which is right when their young players are going to start needing big money extensions. I think, if anything, they'd rather eat the $3.125M retention hit this year and next when they have so many guys on ELCs and the cap space is less valuable to them.

Holl for a 4th is fine; Holl to St. Louis makes less sense, but I just don't think any of us can know where he winds up. Someone will want to upgrade their RD3 between now and training camp and decide Holl is a better piece than whatever's left out there, and that's when you'll see him move.

Interesting. To me Kerfoot just seems like a perfect Minnesota Wild player, but I’m sure the leafs can offer a different package if Talbot really does want out

Does an unqualified player retain his arbitration rights? Chicago doesn't seem worried about the 3.65 mil. They are worried about what Strome may get in arbitration after a career season.

Minnesota has better player playing on their bottom line. Kerfoot isn't a c. So no, Minnesota doesn't need him

Every team has 50 better players than Kerfoot.

Keep him. Like wild fans and many other teams fans have said, we don't need Kerfoot. He's a 50 point player in your team because you have no depth at Winger and bottom c besides 4-5 really good players

The second you try to send Holl to the Blues, the realism waned big. They have zero use or cap for him.

He's not a bottom line player. Good grief.

He would be on Minnesota, that is just a fact. The amount of leafs fans trying to force Kerfoot on other teams fans is tiring. Again Minnesota doesn't need or want him. Minnesota isn't taking on his cap

Totally, TO is so bad they have no depth, and their stars are overrated.

Kerfoot would be a bottom line player in Minnesota. He's not a top 1 c that Minnesota need. Rossi and Hartman will be Minnesota's 1c, and 2c and Joel Eriksson Ek will be 3c. So no.

Trade Kerfoot elsewhere. Minnesota is also stacked at Winger even with fiala trade

I mean he literally outscored every player currently on the wild but the top line with 0 PP time but who cares about replacing Fiala and potentially Kaprizov right?

The ridiculousness of leafs fans making a million proposal sending holl to Minnesota and every other teams fans, and sending Kerfoot, being told no but can't just accept and move on, instead of getting defensive

Didn't know kaprizov didn't show up yet. Didn't know it's September or October yet. Minnesota will move up duhaime or Beckman. Again leads fans, we don't want Kerfoot. I guess it's hard for leafs fans being told no

Yeah because wild actually had amazing depth which caused player like dewar, bjustad, etc to be scratched. After matthews, marner, nylander, it, Kerfoot was your next best player. You guys were playing a person like Michael bunting on top 4 or top 6.

No one on the Leafs has any value. They are all bubble players on worse teams

You mean that terrible Bunting player who scored 63 points and was a finalist for the Calder and was one of the top players in the league at drawing penalties. He was so bad that they had to use Kerfoot on the 2nd line for half the season where he ended with 52 points and was a great pk guy. Which meant they had to play Mikheyev and Engvall on the 3rd line to form a very effective 3rd line who played major shutdown minutes? All of them wouldn't make the wild for sure. They all suck

Ignorant who uses point to say a player would be on another team is comical. Only leads fans can say this. Bunting has those points because of who he played with
