Giroux has always been more of a winger than a center putting him at wing allows Necas and KK to both play their natural positions

Idk about always but definitely the last couple of seasons so I’m sure it would work out well and give us flexibility

If Klinger was willing to take that he would already be signed in Dallas

Klingberg isnt worth that. I understand we like him because he would play well in the our system but he hasnt done well enough to justify that deal.

Kings decline, they don't need any more centers

The two opposing opinions here make me think this is a good deal. I doubt the Stars have been offering close to $7m

They will when they deplete their pipeline trading for Chychrun

Arrange the lines however you want…Giroux adds a ton of flexibility and options for the Canes.

Even if we trade BOTH Turcotte and Vilardi in a Chychrun deal (highly unlikely), we still have Byfield, Kupari, Madden, Helenius, Pinelli, Anderson-Dolan and Thomas in the pipeline. @kingsfaninSD is right.

I hate being wrong - but the point is there could be a trade with the Kings with a different prospect.

Sounds like it’s time for the Kings to start trading some centers.

I never said he was worth it. I just think if he was willing to take that they would have signed him
