Carolina isn’t shipping necas out for your garbage. He’s an rfa, even if they don’t want to resign him his rights will net a lot more than that. Kapanen turns 26 in two weeks that’s not really a “young player to help their future”. Pens fans have been trying to dump this guy all year, he’s not helping anyone’s future.

For that money Carolina would only get a 2nd round pick for compensation. I gave them that and more, so that's definitely good value for Carolina. Also Kapanen isn't even in his prime yet, He could definitely help Montreal out, especially with his speed.

That was the only trade I was kind of iffy on. I think it's pretty good value for Anaheim, but not sure if they would actually accept it.

Low on value for us or for other teams?

A third liner and a seventh doesn’t move the needle much. That offer gets beat very easily and necas probably can sign for more than that. Why hasn’t kapanen and his speed helped Pittsburgh? He’s played next to two hall of fame centers why has he been replaced in the top six and outproduced by Evan Rodrigues? What in this offer is enticing Montreal to downgrade Anderson to Kapanen?

Yeah no, Waddell himself stated the team is keeping Necas. The only way they trade him is for a guy that helps put them over the top like Miller or Chychrun.

Heinen and a 2nd round pick do not do that.

Other teams. I love all the ideas, but just think the trades need to be tweeked. I think the Edmenton one is fine. Comtois and Anderson one's I think we'd have to take out Zucker and Carter plus add a little, maybe a prospect like Legare. I even think it would take Marino to get Necas or Anderson. That being said, Necas, Anderson, and Comtois are the exact players we should be targeting.

They will not. Makes zero sense to deal Comtois

Well the Penguins didn’t even qualify Heinen. Guess he’s not the solid young player pens fans keep trying to convince other teams he is. 😂

If Necas wanted to sign that there would already be a deal in place. If you OS him at that canes just match. You’d have to OS at the 1/3 compensation for them to consider it.

If it’s just a plain trade offer that would easily get best by probably 10+ teams. That return just isn’t realistic.
